How would you want your own child to be treated?
Start there.A salary and benefits that give a family stability and dignity.
A written role, realistic responsibilities, and a clear understanding before anyone says yes.
Real responsibility, room to lead, and respect for the person, his family, and his time.

What SOS will offer
Placement is one part. The right role, contract, training, mentoring, and support all matter.
Listen to both sides and match the needs of the Mosad with the talents of the couple.
Define the role, compensation, benefits, fundraising expectations, contract, and long term plan before the hire.
Give both sides ongoing guidance, with a mentor assigned to every employee Shliach.
Bring in independent professional mediation early, while the relationship can still be strengthened.
Help a retiring Shliach pass leadership and responsibility to the next generation.
Practical training in listening, communication, recognition, boundaries, and helping people grow.
The SOS Grant
Participating Mosdos would receive financial support for positions created through the SOS process. The goal is to reduce the risk of hiring, reward the early adopters, and help the first placements succeed.
Ask about the pilotThe grant is part of the proposed Year 1 pilot.
How it would work
Agree on the role, compensation, benefits, and expectations.
The hiring Shliach learns the SOS leadership standard before the hire.
The placement continues with mentoring, follow up, and mediation when needed.
SOS Yeshivah
Leadership training for hiring Shluchim.
Most people want to do right. They simply need the tools. SOS Yeshivah would give hiring Shluchim practical training before the placement begins.
Listen properly, set expectations clearly, and deal with issues while they are still small.
Know the person, recognize what he brings, and show that his work and family matter.
Give real responsibility, help him use his strengths, and prepare him for future leadership.
Practical training for real situations.
Ask about SOS Yeshivah →Why SOS matters to me
I grew up around employee Shluchim. My father and two uncles all worked for other Shluchim. I later spent three years as a Shlichus intern in Flagstaff before building my own Shlichus in Phoenix.
That experience made SOS very personal to me. I would be excited to spearhead the pilot in its early stages. As a full time Shliach, I would eventually hand the day to day leadership to the right person while remaining involved.
